A Cleaning Veteran Retires

Introduction: Andy has been in the cleaning and Janitorial business for over 25 years. He ran his own cleaning business for many years before he joined Weixler DCS. Cleaners and janitorial staff touch so many lives in beautiful ways, and we know that this is also true of Andy. Recently, he has struggled with knee problems and is scheduled for knee replacement surgery. In the following letter, Andy announces his retirement at the age of 65.

Dear Bryan,

First and foremost, I hope you and yours are well. The reason for this letter is that I am resigning from Weixler Cleaning Service effective August 1st 2021. It has truly been an honor and a blessing to work for you and of course alongside you. You and Trisha are the backbone of this fine company. You both have something very unique to offer each in your own very wonderful way.

There are many good people that I have come in contact over the period of time that I have been with the company and I am truly going to miss that but at this time I had to face the truth and that is I will never be able to do the quality of work that I used to. Janitorial and floor work is hard and if you do it properly and with pride after years of giving 110% day in and day out it takes a toll on one's body.

At this point in time, I am not quite sure what I am going to do to be honest. I know and realize that God has a plan for me what it is right now only time will tell. You truly have been a blessing to me and an inspiration and I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all that you have done for me.

Trisha is the most wonderful motherly figure anyone could ask to know or have in their life and I appreciate her more than I think she even realizes. I truly do love that woman and please tell her not to ever stop being the fine lady that she is.

I'm going to close for now but please know that I always welcome hearing from you both. Let's not be strangers but keep in touch with each other. I have both of your numbers in my phone and will be checking in periodically with each of you just to say hello and to talk for a bit. All my equipment is on the porch along with the rags.

Sincerely yours,

Andy.
